The guest rooms, which stand like stepping stones along the clear waters of the Shiiba River, are all detached, giving you a true sense of privacy. Each room has a different layout, size, and view from the window, so you can enjoy the surprise and delight of being in a truly unique inn.
Shiiba Sanso has six different kinds of rooms, each of different size and style.
TYPE 1R "Riverside detached house"
A 10 tatami Japanese-style room and a twin bedroom.
Features: Japanese and western style bedrooms, cypress hot spring bath. Maximum 6 people
TYPE 1M "Maisonette"
A 10 tatami Japanese-style room and a twin bedroom. Ideal for bigger groups and families
Features: Japanese and western style bedrooms, cypress hot spring bath. Maximum 8 people
TYPE 1B "Barrier-free"
This Japanese-Western style room has a Western-style room that can be accessed by wheelchair and a 10-tatami Japanese-style room.
Features: Japanese and Western style bedrooms, cypress hot spring bath, fully wheelchair accessible. Maximum 6 people
TYPE 1W "2nd floor Japanese-Western style room"
This Room is located on the second floor of a two-story guest room building a little ways from the river. It consists of a 10-tatami Japanese-style room and a twin bedroom.
Features: Japanese and western style bedrooms, cypress hot spring bath. Maximum 6 people.
TYPE 2 "1st floor Japanese-Western style room"
A Japanese-Western style room on the first floor of a two-story guest room building a little ways from the river. It consists of a 10-tatami Japanese-style room and a twin bedroom.
Features: Japanese and western style bedrooms, cypress hot spring bath. Maximum 6 people
TYPE 3 "Japanese-style room"
The windows offer a spectacular view of the waterfall and stream. This room is on the second floor along the river.
