An abundance of seasonal ingredients are used, including fresh seafood from the Ariake Sea and Tachibana Bay, and seasonal vegetables from the Shimabara Peninsula. Unzen Miyazaki Ryokan offers creative Japanese cuisine created by our head chef, focusing on local seasonal ingredients. Please enjoy the refined flavors that can only be found here.
The food is presented on tableware from Kyushu, such as Hasami ware and Mikawachi ware from Nagasaki Prefecture, and Arita ware from Saga Prefecture.
“Carefully selected ingredients cooked in a special way”
Unzen Miyazaki Ryokan’s carefully designed live kitchen is equipped with a grill and a custom-made stove. The inn had Kamaasa Shoten, a shop founded in 1908 located in Kappabashi Dogu-gai in Tokyo, install two large stoves specially for them. They cook specially selected rice from Unzen on the stove, and serve freshly grilled local fish and meat from the grill.

Unzen Miyazaki Ryokan offers creative cuisine using local ingredients from Unzen, the Shimabara Peninsula, and Nagasaki. The freshest seasonal ingredients are prepared in the most delicious way possible. The inn even uses fresh local fish caught every morning.
Carefully selected rice is cooked in a custom-made stove, and everything is served on Hasami and Arita tableware, allowing you to enjoy the charm of Nagasaki in luxury.
