Both the men's and women's spas have spacious baths and saunas, as well as an open-air bath where you can fully enjoy the magnificent nature of Unzen. We also offer private baths that can be reserved ahead of time.
Large Public Bath "Kirin no Yu”
The spacious bath is designed to be relaxing and calming. It is a comfortable, traditional style space made of wood with natural light pouring in from the ceiling. Through the large windows, you can observe the Unzen nature.
At Kirin no Yu, both the men's and women's baths are equipped with cold baths and saunas. After warming up your body in the hot springs and sauna, you can cool down in the cold bath. Repeating this cycle of hot and cold stimulation is said to promote blood circulation.
Open-Air Public Bath
In the open-air bath surrounded by lush greenery, you can feel the changing of the seasons in Unzen, and if the weather and other conditions are right, you can enjoy the beautiful lapis lazuli water. There is a rock bath and a stone-tiled bath, and you can relax in different atmospheres on a rotation system.
Private Baths "Ichinoyu", "Ninoyu", and "Sannoyu"
When the windows of each private bath are fully opened, it becomes a semi-open-air bath, revealing the seasonal plants.
Equipped with a spacious bath, you can enjoy the same beneficial spring water quality as the large public bath, in a private setting. This option is tattoo-friendly
